Health Promotion

Occupational health professionals are ideally suited to promote good health both at home and in the workplace.  Either as part of their routine job or as special one-off promotional days, the OH adviser could promote and support  national issues such as no smoking days, alcohol and drug abuse initiatives, healthy eating etc.  Alternatively the OH adviser can target specific areas relevant to the hygiene, eyesight health (for VDU users), physical fitness, noise exposure etc.

As part of a general employee welfare service, employees can be offered a periodic voluntary health check (blood pressure, cholestorol, BMI, eyesight check) which would allow them to discuss lifestyle issues with the OH nurse.

There are a million and one ways of delivering health promotion, so if you would like any further information, please contact us or call us on 0845 600 4996 and together we can work out the most appropriate approach for you and your company.
