The authorities have warned that employers should beware of staff watching world cup games online, if they do not have a TV licence.
A TV Licensing Spokesman has said that they will be carrying out checks on business premises during the matches if they don’t have a TV licence. The potential fine for not having a licence is £1,000.00.
Employers should therefore ensure that, if they do not have a TV licence, all staff are aware of company policy in relation to watching the games.
