A company in Warrington has been fined £200,000 following the death of an employee.
A health and safety executive investigation showed that the company failed to follow its own health and safety guidelines.
The employee in question had worked at the plant as a fitter for three months when he fell 16ft to his death on 16 August 2006.
With two units stacked on top of each other, he climbed to the top of the stack to help attach lifting chains so that the top unit could be lifted down, when he fell to his death.
The company was also order to pay £15, 698 towards the cost of the prosecution at the Crown Court.
